Is a Dental Crown Right for You?

When your tooth is severely damaged or worn, it can feel like your situation is hopeless. However, we use crowns as a reliable way to repair and revive your smile, even if the damage seems extreme. A crown will permanently restore your functional bite and the peace of mind that comes with a complete smile.

Changes You Can Expect in Your Day-to-Day

A Permanent Answer to Hidden Pain

Often, unexplained pain in back teeth is caused by tiny hairline cracks. A crown offers stability to encase your tooth and relieve pain, allowing you to return to normal without hesitation.

Strength That Outlasts the Problem

Whether your tooth has been weakened by a large old filling or a root canal, a crown provides the structural integrity needed to prevent future breakage.

Materials Made for Life’s Demands

We use high-grade porcelain and durable materials designed to withstand the daily “wear and tear” of life, ensuring your restoration is as functional as it is beautiful.

Restoring What Was Lost

For those struggling with teeth that have broken away or been lost entirely, crowns and bridges serve as a reliable, long-term path to a complete, confident smile.

A Plan by Dr. Young, Made for You

When your dental health feels compromised by an accident, wear and tear, or older dental work that is starting to fail, you need a solution that offers more than just a quick fix. If Dr. Young recommends a crown, it’s because it’s the best way to give your damaged tooth, or teeth, a protective shield.

Fitting your restoration is a collaborative process. While the physical process usually requires two visits, the behind-the-scenes work involves our entire team, as we review your case to ensure the fit and aesthetics are perfect.

During your first visit, we focus on removing any decay, shaping your tooth to fit your new restoration, and fitting a temporary crown to bring you a step closer to success. On the subsequent visit, we’ll remove your temporary crown and adjust the final placement. Once we’re both happy with the look and fit, we’ll cement it into place.

Restore What’s Been Lost

Your dental health shouldn’t be a source of worry or hidden pain. Whether you are struggling with a tooth that has broken down over time or you’re dealing with the aftermath of an accident, Dr. Young is here to help you turn the page. Let’s amend the function of your smile so you can get back to living your life without second-guessing your smile.
